This isn't exactly how I've pictured it to be,
But somehow I've gotten you to fall for me.
Why you would and how you did, I'll never quite understand,
But I still get the giddiness whenever you hold my hand.
I forgot what it felt like, to have all these butterflies.
They never go away, even as the time passes us by.
Maybe it was quick, but it feels like I know you.
I really do hope you feel the same as I do.
Worry doesn't have a spot in my mind anymore,
I'm almost certain you won't go, almost sure.
I can't describe the joy I feel
Just knowing this is something, knowing it's real.
It may be cheesy, and that's fine with me,
But I can't help but feel we were meant to be.
Whenever I see you, my heart skips a beat,
Not to mention kissing you is a real treat.
Though we are far apart most of the time,
I'm still satisfied in knowing that you're mine.
We've made it through waters deep and shallow,
And it's always our love that follows.
The future holds something special for you and me,
But for now I enjoy our present, so I'll wait and see.
I cherish each moment we spend together,
Oh how I wish they would last forever.
Each day I can't wait just to talk to you,
And I just love to hear what you're up to.
Besides love and happiness, we have lots of days,
And I'll spend each one of them loving you in our own special way.
