Block

So I sat down to write a poem, and seriously couldn't think of anything. I'm sorry. This is becoming a problem. I decided to instead write about...man I can't even think of something for that! I have officially approached a block. Until then, I'm not sure I can write more than a few sentences. I'm sorry friends! I will definitely try to think of something so that this blog can still seem intriguing enough to read. Maybe at my job where I have a lot of down time, I can think of something for you. Cross your fingers!

A Little Bit of Allison: Writing

As we all know, I am quite the fan of writing. But let me tell you folks, it is not the easiest thing. Writing poetry can be challenging, but also writing a book is even harder. I don't know why, you'd think someone who talks as much as I do would be able to fill a series. But no. So I've been trying but boy is it hard.

Besides the difficulty, I've always liked writing because I have found it helps me express myself. For me, writing is definitely a form of therapy. My favorite type of writing to write is journal entries. I love writing in my journal where I know I can just write free, if you will. I don't have to worry about rhyming, making a story flow, or even if anyone will read it. Plus, it's just writing out what I would tell someone about my life that day, week, or month.

You would think this post would be longer, being that it is about writing, but unfortunately I have now run out of things to write about. See?! It's hard.
Until next time.

Blog Construction

So I decided I don't like writing explanations on my poems. I know, I'm lame, I only did it once and already changed my mind. That's why this post is entitled "Blog Construction" because that's the state my blog is in right now. It is under construction. I know I want to continue with the poems and the little bits of me, but I feel like there should be more. So, for the next few weeks or months or however often I decide to post, I'll be trying out different things. With that being said, please don't mind the constant change. You may see one type of post one week and then never see it again. If I stumble upon something I like, then it will remain on the blog. There we have it. Blog under construction...watch for random posts.

Summer Breeze

I think every person who writes poetry writes one of these,
A poem about the summer breeze.
But how could you not? It's done with such ease.
There's something about the warm sun on your face,
And then the rush of cool air, that feeling that none other can replace.
The smell of the flowers that you can almost taste.
Sometimes I like to just close my eyes and breathe it in,
The fresh summer air surrounding my skin.
Summer brings me happiness time and time again.
And when the winter comes, I have something to look forward to,
That summer breeze that I love, oh I love it, I do.
